Dear Friends & Neighbors, Our next Parkside cleanup will take place on Sunday, Nov. 6th, 2-4pm at Happy Day Preschool, 809 Taraval Street (corner of 18th Ave). We will provide all the supplies. Cannabis Products Are Supposed To Be Tested

According to SF.gov, cannabis s supposed to be tested for "chemicals, pesticides, and other toxic substances." and to be safe by buying products from "legal and licensed SF retailers." Is the proposed Gold Mirror dispensary testing its products? If so, by whom? Where are the reports? Cognitive Impact of Cannabis on Youth

This is an interesting report just before cannabis was legalized by SF Dept of Public Health ,  1) Concern for the cognitive impacts on youth 2) Youth perception: "Among youth in the focus group, cannabis was also perceived as easy to obtain, with its use perceived as normalized and associated with being “chill” and “cool” among youth." p. 12 3) Key informants had diverse views on medical cannabis dispensaries and believed their impact on surrounding communities was either minimal (e.g. don’t contribute crime; most adhere to rules; any issues are mostly quality of life issues), positive (e.g. improved block; lowered crime through activation and security), or negative (e.g. clusters in certain neighborhoods; crowds out other retail; attracts problem clientele; have normalizing effect on youth). Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday for our first monthly Parkside/Sunset cleanup event!  We had a large turnout and collected over 20 bags of trash from our streets. Our cleanups are held every first Sunday of the month from 2-4pm at Happy Day Preschool on 809 Taraval Street.  Our next cleanup will be on Sunday, Nov. 6th. Please sign our online petition
